DA CLANBASE NEWS: As with every OpenCup season, there is a beginning, a middle and most unfortunately: an end. Over the last months, about 120 clans battled in exactly 203 matches to climb to the top positions in their group for a chance to play in unfied playoffs for prizes kindly sponsored by Activision. Sadly there could only be one true winner no matter how close it may have been. The ET:QW OpenCup medalists: Head on inside the newsitem for further information!
Unforgotten heroes: We would also like to particularly say thanks to the clans of lower leagues that made it to the big unified playoffs. We know that many of them would have had the chance to win their league, so we want to honour their performance even though the special playoff system we used did not make it possible this time.

3rd League Qualified Clans: The helping hands: We would like to thank all people who were involved in making this cup successful. Without dedicated admins and all the crew involved we wouldn’t be sitting here looking back at a great cup now. Our special thanks goes to these referees/writers:  Mixo,  EnoMen and  Atte who were covering most of the playoff-matches and did great reports, keeping the cup page alive. Also special thanks to our coverage supervisor  LionQ who was providing awesome match previews and reviews during the whole cup. My personal thanks goes to co-supervisor erazor who did a hell lot of work in this cup and was also spending a lot of his time to keep all cup proceedings on a premium level. Without him this cup wouldn’t have been as good as it was.
The coverage: At the end erazor and me would like to thank the GamesTV.org-crew for providing great coverage and support with ET:QWTV for most of the important matches. Also  QuadV|Splodge and Progressive eSports deserve a big "thumbs up" for sharing their in-depth knowledge with us during their audio and video broadcasts.
Well that was it for this season. I hope ClanBase ET:QW will provide more successful cups later this year with the new season starting around March.

Dopo aver perso il match di vetta vs gli Inferno i R!OT mantengono salda la loro posizione. Con il nuovo anno la sfida si ripete, i nostri ragazzi incontreranno i Mystic, altro clan che aspira al vertice della classifica, gli XSL, nuovo clan proveniente da bf2142 e ancora una volta gli inferno, sperando di poter riscattarsi della sconfitta a fine anno 2007: LUNEDI 21/01/08 GIOVEDI 24/01/08 DOMENICA 27/01/08 In bocca al lupo ai R!OT.etqw!!!!!!!

"Il match vedrà contrapporsi due già esperti e ben promettenti teams della scena italiana. Da una parte i Riot Gamers, con anni d'esperienza alle spalle in fatto di netgaming e terzi qualificati alla Italian Demo Cup, dall'altra l'ex-team ICGA passato sotto le file del multigaming ClansGame eSports. Buoni i risulati fin'ora raggiunti per quest'ultimo team ma non eccellenti, il loro grande impegno non è stato del tutto ripagato dai risultati fino a questo momento, ma è sicuramente uno dei teams italiani candidati a fare bene qui in EAS." Call of duty 4 MW è ormai arrivato da giorni sui nostri pc ed i R!OT rispondono presente!
E' con immenso piacere che annunciamo la nascita della nuova sezione R!OT del fps di
Infinity Ward, ormai giunto alla sua 4^ edizione. Il Team per adesso è formato da molti riottini di vecchio e nuovo stampo, vi terremo aggiornati sul team titolare che affronterà le varie competizioni italiane ed europee. Management:

QUAKE WARS...cominciano le danze! 
La sezione di ET:qw è impegnata in 2 competizioni ufficiali: la Open Cup Fall'07 su Clanbase (6on6 in second league), dove è gia stato vinto il primo match per forfeit degli avversari finlandesi e la Infantry Opening Cup su ESL (4on4 nel girone A) che si giocherà nei prossimi giorni.
Il nostro team è stato rafforzato da nuovi arrivi e siamo sicuri che saprà ritagliarsi un posto di prestigio sia su esl che su cb...in bocca al lupo a GaS e compagni da tutti i R!OT GAMERS!
